Happy Birthday, Caraway Annata (Carrie Ann)

Today is my Caraway's 4th birthday. She shares her birthday with her older (and deceased) sister Coriander Anise (Cori).

 

May you live with us longer than your older sister did. You are my therapy dog. I love you!

That sounds a bit like how we came to have Bijou. After Dusty died, my mom was determined to get another of the same breed (he was a Silky Terrier). But silkies and yorkies cost too much money around our way, and we were still paying off the hospital bill.

Mom said she had told Dusty before we let him go that she wanted him to lead her to her next doggie, and that she'd know who it was when it was a girl, since we were opposed to female dogs. But then our neighbor's dog had a litter unexpectedly, and they were all girls and that's how we got Bijou.
