Friends, Family, and Garrison Keillor

katje0711  and her cousin happyfeet96 ,divka , my hubby and I went to see Garrison Keillor at the Washington Cathedral.

He was, as I thought that he would be, very entertaining. He was supposed to promote his new book, Liberty, which he told us that he wouldn't do. And he didn't. Instead, he sang sonnets, made jokes, told stories, answered questions, etc. It was a great one-man show. Afterward, he signed autographs, talked to us individually, and allowed us to take pictures with him. What a great trooper he was. By the time, he got to us, an hour of what I call "individual fan attention moment" have passed, and the line was long enough to last another hour. During the whole time, he stood and did not sit at all. This man is amazing. He truly enjoys his fans.

We were not allowed to take pictures and record him. I will not confess to either, but here are photos of him during his talk, and, one of these days, maybe YouTube will have something with his voice uploaded:

I don't think that sounds creepy at all. It's neat to look at the different ways people write. I really like Michael Emerson's handwriting.

I don't think that it is creepy. Michael's handwriting is very blocky and legible. Garrison's is scriptlike. I actually like both. They both have personalities.

I've always been interested in handwriting analysis, it seems pretty amazing all that you can tell from just the way the strokes land.

Hmm, what does his handwriting tells you. I find that extremely interesting.

I've never really studied handwriting too much, but just the way his letters don't form too well-- the 's' in best is hardly a line at all and the 'r's look more like 'v's-- you can tell he writes a lot. As in jots notes a lot. People with quick stokes like that have mastered a way of writing almost as fast as they can think.

Yes, I do have pictures galore to make up for the time I was cheated out of my picture with him. Unfortunately, I was 55 lbs lighter. Oh, well. LOL.
