Emergency Situation

Sometimes Life Sucks

Our family had plans to go and eat dinner at Ambereen and Ethan's house with Abbie and Meghan (Jack worked the night shift), and then go see our local holiday light display.
Unfortunately, life threw us a curveball. Abbie's cat Brie got sick. She is in renal failure. Luckily, there are some treatment available. However, the treatments recommended is costly. But Abbie and Jack are in a position to be able to afford it. Hopefully, Brie will be with us a bit longer.
We ate dinner as planned, while awaiting that dreadful call from the emergency hospital. It could have been worse. I am glad that we were given hope.

I am to fly to Omaha tomorrow. On Sunday, Manya's tombstone will be unveiled. However, I may not go because my mom is in the hospital. She may have had a heart attack.
More details later, as I am writing this in the hospital via my iPhone.
