I just finished reading an article about Isaiah Washington and his homophobic slur. From what I have been reading about him, the man has a low-boiling point. He lost his temper and with his bad behavior ousted his coworker, actor T. R. Knight (Dr. O'Malley). T. R. Knight is gay and did not want to disclose it to anyone. You know what? I don’t think that I really needed to know that. It is up to T. R. Knight to let the public know about his intimate affairs. It really is not our business. But it is now in the open. The public knows it, and T. R. is just as respected and loved by his fans as he was before this particular tidbit was known. Apparently, Isaiah Washington displayed his lack of judgment not once, but twice. Once while taping the show and the other time when publicly apologizing. Apparently Mr. Washington does not know the proper word to say when mentioning people who prefer same-sex partners. They are called homosexuals, lesbians, even gay… not f****t. Besides, we don’t confront anybody and curse them out by their sexual preference. For example, you don’t go to a heterosexual person and call out, “you heterosexual bastard.” So, in my book what Isaiah did was wrong. I am glad to hear that he is undergoing therapy. I just hope that he will retain what he learned and act in a responsible manner next time he is angry and is face to face with someone different from him.
