Sad Event

Today, while in Omaha, I had to say good-bye to my dog Zack Curry. He was diagnosed with cancer of the spleen. I left the house with a healthy dog, only to get a phone call from my husband at about 5 pm that Zack was listless and not eating. (This dog was always hungry.) Hubby took him to the vet. Diagnosis: untreatable cancer. He was euthanized because he was in dire pain.

Aw, Edith, I'm so sorry. My dog died of cancer two years ago and it was very difficult. Take care of yourself, hun. *hugs*

It is difficult. This one really hit me hard. I was his special person. I didn't realize how deeply he dug himself into my heart.
