WOW! So diverse! I actually saw a movie based from a Broadway play and it was very sad, and I'm not one to like singing in movies, but it was good!

I know your a big fan of technology Edith, but how did you post all of these pics here? I was trying earlier to post some pics I took of some of my old artwork, dating from a year back, but I had no idea how. I have all the ones I want to post on a Photobucket, but don't know how to put them on my LiveJournal so peeps can see them here. Can you help me?

That's cool *goes to do the meme herself*

Mod Matt (I've been wanting to call you that for the longest time) when you upload it in photobucket they give you three URL's. One is the just the normal URL, one is incased in tag's with brackets "["
And the third one is incased in "<" those things.
Copy and paste the third one into your journal.
Make sense?

How can you not like musicals!?
*is STILL listening to the Beauty and the Beast on Broadway Soundtrack*

This particular collage was made by someone else. Here's the link:

You can post your pictures in livejournal in two different ways:

If you use plain text mode, look to your upper right-hand corner and you'll see little drop-down menu that says "insert..." Click on it. The word image will be the choice to click on. A new window will pop down that will give you choices of inserting an image from a URL (just plug in the URL in the proper space provided), image from file (which means you upload it from your hard drive), or image from the LJ scrapbook gallery.

If you use the rich-text mode, then you'll see just about the middle of the menu tool bar, a colorful square. Click on it. A window named Image Properties pops up. Insert the URL and voila, your pictures are uploaded. Let me know if you still need more instructions via pm in the Generally Speaking forum.

Which movie were you talking about, Matt?

The film was called Rent, but I dunno how faithful it is to the Broadway play. I kept hearing it was good, so I bought it when I picked up the Season 2 DVDs. I saw it and really enjoyed it. I typically not a fan of singing in movies, but its such an imporatant part of any kind of cinema, that I'm beginning to have second thoughts. I really liked the songs and the singing was great. BTW, thanks so much again for the help Edith, I knew you were good at this kinda thing! ;)

Oh . . . Rent!
I haven't seen it yet, not sure I want to, I don't like crying at movies, but I know I'll see it eventually.
If you want to se a good Broadway Musical turned Movie see the Producers, that was funny! I'd love to see the play.

I still don't understand how you arn't a fan of Musicals. How could you not like a show where people break out in song?

Yes! You must see RENT! I can't believe I was getting choked up at the end...throughout it. What shocked me was that it was directed by Chris Columbus, the guy who did the first 2 Harry Potter films. It was very impressive! I'd love to see the play, and more musicals. I like people who break into song, my History teacher in high school did it regularly, sometimes with his guitar...good times.

And I'm not surprise you like them, coming from a rich childhood of Disney I presume. ;) I want to see more musicals, more acting, singing, the works. I heard of The Producers, Uma Thurman is in it. One of my favorite actresses. She graces the page of my MySpace in one of her best roles EVER!

I love musicals! I was in a number of regional and local productions. I love musicals in live theatre a lot better than in the movies. There is some chemistry in the air when you see a live performance.

I love musical theater to, I wish I could just run off to New York and see them all, and them be in them.
My favorite Broadway play is Beauty and the Beast, and not just because of the movie, but because there's something inherently fun about a play where people are dressed up as things like Plates, Cheesegraters, and Candelabras.
You just can't beat a singing Candelabrum.

I can't wait to see it! I wish my civic theater or college would do a production of it sometime soon, not as profesional as Broadway, but hey! At least I'd get to see it before noxt year, I'm gonna explode out of anticipation!
