18:08 Edith's daughter here again. Her blood pressure is higher, which is good. If she can sustain it, hopefully they can start diuretics (cont) #

18:11 ...soon to treat the pulmonary edema. When that improves, we can look at removing ventilator. She's more sedated to ease discomfort. (cont) #

18:12 Negative for pneumonia. We still don't know what the lung problem is. Waiting for more culture results. Overall improvement, but slow. #

22:39 End-of-day update: Blood pressure is higher. If BP stays good as BP meds are lowered, can start diuretics to treat fluid in lungs. (cont) #

22:41 For now, mainly a waiting game. She's still on a ventilator. Hard to see her like that, but hopefully in a few days it'll be over. (cont) #

22:42 Overall improvement, just slow. My anesthesiologist hubby's convinced she'll be fine. Hard to be patient, but no choice. Will keep updating. #

Abbie, thank you so much for updating us on your mother's condition. It is great to hear that she is giving the nurses a hard time. That is a sign that she is improving. I hope you and your family will get some sleep tonight and tomorrow we will share some more good news. Good night.
