LOST Episode 5X4: This Place Is Death

What a great episode. It was a fantastic episode. I absolutely loved it. And I have so many notes.

My thoughts as I watched the show.

1. Sun gets a phone call. Her mom and her daughter.

2. Daughter misses her.

3. She wants to kill Ben bc she thinks he killed Jin. Where did she get this idea?

4. Ben knows that Jin is alive and he can prove it. How?

5. The numbers.

6. Jin finds out that he is in 1988.

7. Submarine, what a joke.

8. Rousseau's crew want to find the antenna.

9. Jin knows where the tower is, but not his camp, WTF?

10. Rousseau knows she will have a daughter. What a joke.

11. The monster is around.

12. Nadine is killed by the monster.

13. Gaston is taken by the monster and loses his arm.

14. The crew goes to see the monster. The monster is immitating Gaston's voice. He is devious.

15. Time shift. Danielle sees Jin leave

16. The island skips a few weeks.

17. Roussseau believes that her people are crazy. She wants to shoot Robert. He convinces her to not shoot, and he tries to shoot her. No bullets in the rifle. Love this flashback.

18. According to Robert the Monster is a security system for the Temple.

19. What is the sickness? The monster assumed their identity?

20. Jin is flashed to another time period just as Rousseau is trying to kill him.

21. Sawyer. Love that they meet up again.

22. Charlotte knows Korean.

23. Ben tries convince Sun to believe him.

24. Kate doesn't want to back.

25. Jack! Don't! (Horrible acting job.)

26. Sayid leaves.

28. 30 minutes or shoot me. You will never know whether Jin is alive.

29. Jin wanted to go with Locke. He can't. It's a one-man job.

30. The island keeps skipping continuously.

31. Charlotte collapses.

32. Why doesn't Jin's nose bleed?

33. Charlotte warns Jin not let them come back.

34. Ben loses his temper. Jack is an idiot.

35. Charlotte sees her past.

36. The Well. How does Charlotte know?

37. Charlotte confesses that she grew up on the island.

38. The Orchid! Gone!

39. The Well!

39. Is Charlotte Annie?

40. Mom lied to Charlotte. Told her that the Island is not real. She searched for the island.

41. She remembers the purge? She was told that she will die. Daniel told her to leave the island. OMG. Charlotte dies. I must be a monster. I was not upset at her death.

42. Sawyer: "Expecting a Subway?"

43. Locke goes down to the well.

44. Locke promises Jin that he won't bring Sun back. JIn wants Locke to show Jin's wedding bad to Sun to prove that he is dead. That way, Sun won't come back.

45. Locke's nose doesn't bleed.

43. When Locke descends the well, it reminds of S2 and the hatch.

44. The well is gone

45. Charlotte is gone

46. Locke is hurt

47. Christian. WTF

48. Christian? Jacob?

49. The problem is that John was supposed to move the island. Not Ben.

50. What was Ben's motive? Did Ben want to revenge Alex's death?

51. Christian: Eloise will helpd them. Locke has to convince them to come back. JOhn can do it. Christian believes in him

52. All who left must come back. Does that inclued Desmond?

53. John must die. He is the sacrifice.

54. The Donkey wheel

55. LOcke's leg is not working, but Christian can't help him.

56. You can seee the island skipping thru time, as the donkey wheel keeps skipping.

57. Ben takes them all the Hawkings.

58. Ben uses Jin's ring as proof that Jin is alive. John did not tell Sun about the ring.

59. Sun is ready to go back to the island. What about her daughter? What kind of mother is she? Besides he daughter was on the island. Shouldn't she come back as well.

60. Desmond?

61. Hawkins is Faraday's mother. Is Desmond going back now?

He PWNed Locke pretty severely there, with his that special combination of withering condescension and rather cruelly detached smarm that he has. There seems to be two Christians, in fact, and this one seems a little...evil. Or is it me? Still, he's Christian and always a great treat. He PWNed Ben a little in absentia (and doesn't Ben deserve it!) by saying basically that he's a no goodnik. But his treatment of Locke was rather cruel in that special Christian Shephard way. He brightens any episode that he appears in! Sigh. How I love Lost! :D

I saw it more as PWNing Ben, but he did certainly set Locke straight, too. I didn't think Christian was being cruel. Just blunt. He did tell Locke he believes in him, after all. Although, I'm sure Jack wouldn't be happy to hear he said that to Locke, since he never told Jack he believed in him.

Yes, he can PWN several people at the same time. :D He's a doctor, he's a good multitasker! I just didn't count Ben in that scene, because Ben wasn't there. But you're right, he was rather blunt about Ben, wasn't he? I don't think Jack would ever get to the point of being happy or unhappy about what he said to Locke, simply because his head would explode at, "Hey, Jack, guess what your dad told me..." ;)

The thing is Locke has no idea Christian is Jack's dad.
