Garrison Keillor

Garrison Keillor

- Dec. 7, 14, 21 and 29. (Sundays in December) Garrison Keillor: “Man in Tux & Red Shoes with Piano.” The Sage of Lake Woebegone sits on a nightclub stool, sings standards and tells a New York story or two. Pianist Richard Dworsky accompanies. Feinstein’s at the Regency. (212) 339-4095. http://feinsteinsattheregency.com.

He is a great storyteller. And yes, he can carry a tune, plus his voice is fair.  His singing voice improved magnificently since he married his third wife, who happens to be a symphonic violinist. (I wonder whether she gave him singing lessons.) But he is not a cabaret singer. I guess, he is trying to see how far he can push himself. And, no, I am not going to NYC for this.

Look out, Spicy. At first glance that looks like an obit.

LOL. That is so funny. Why not? It may be the obit needed for pushing that far.
