Miriam Makeba, South African Singer, Died

Miriam Makeba who sang about Africa's struggles for independence, died on Sunday, as she was leaving the stage during her performance in Italy. According to Whoppi Goldberg of The View, Makeba died exactly as she wanted, while performing.

As a teenager, I loved Operas and folk music, and Makeba was my favorite South African performer.

I had heard she had passed, but had no real idea of who she was. Thanks for the videos. She sounds like an amazing person.
