spicedogs: (Obama2)

I came home early and voted. It was a smart move. When we got to the polling place, there was a handful of people there. We got on line and voted. Took few minutes. The most that I spent was helping my mom vote. She doesn't speak much English, is hard of hearing, and is 92 years old. I always get to be her helper.

I voted for Obama and took a picture of my ballot:

I live in a Democratic state, but my town is very Republican. Sadly, I found this truck parked right in front of the no-campaign zone. Technically, it was not breaking the law. However, this just shows the mentality of the majority of the people who live in my neighborhood. I am ashamed to be their neighbor. (I usually block the license plates of vehicles that I photograph. I don't exercise that courtesy here.)

I hope that Obama wins. That's all.

My avi said it like it was. Yes, we need more Democrats where I live. A few years ago, the grand pubah of the KKK lived in our neighborhood. (Thankfully, he moved.) We are expanding and becoming more diverse. I have faith that soon I won't be in the minority.
