Oh, no. I hope that they didn't rewrite the book. That would be awful.
Twilight is a series of awful vampire books that are geared for teenagers and is now going to be a movie. My daughter is absolutely enjoying bashing the books and the upcoming movie.
Well, "rewrote" is my interpretation based on the article because none of the scenes they describe sounds like anything I remember from the book, and the opening scene has nothing to do with either the Prime Minister's office or Spinner's End, the latter of which was supposed to be in the film. Also, Steve Kloves is back, and he was talking about how you couldn't do this and couldn't do that because of the rules of screenwriting. :(
Oh, plus they're expanding the roles of Ron and Hermione, and we'll also get to see the Quidditch scene that was so wisely deleted from Order of the Phoenix (which, IMO, was one of the better entries in the series). But will they reinstate the vital "Snape's Worst Memory" scene? I'm not holding my breath. (I guess the HP movies have the Star Trek curse in reverse--in this case only the odd-numbered entries are any good.)
