Pictures from Grounds for Sculpture.

On Sunday, we went to Grounds for Sculpture. This is a park that Seward Johnson, of the Johnson and Johnson family, set aside to promote "an understanding of and appreciation for contemporary sculpture for all people." I was at this park once before and posted pictures. However, my camera is of a better quality and many members of my f-list are new and have not seen them at all. I will post a few pictures in this entry. If you are interested in seeing the whole set, you will have to be go my flickr account. I am letting you know that a number of people found the pictures in flickr.com. I don't know how they found it, maybe through my tags. But for some reason, this set of mine is having a lot of traffic. Maybe it's those nudes. What perverts.... LOL

Men lined up at the employment office during the Deppression era.

Where there's a butt....

There are a lot of tits.

How did she get that way? Well, you go to the back of the sculpture to see.

And now you know.

Innocent.

Not so innocent.

Gross... (Not Brian, the sculpture). The rod did go through him.

Bovine.

Men definitely enjoyed this view.

This man is definitely enjoying the view.

Realistic.

Abstract.

Birds I've encountered on the way:

Ha, I can't believe people were gawking at the nude sculptures. Dude, just Google "tits" or something. It's far more realistic, jeez.

And LOL, it looks like that sculpture is kicking Dad in the head.

Those are certainly interesting, but I don't consider them embarrassing.

The guy on the ground looking up at the nudes is too funny.

They aren't embarrassing. I really enjoyed this park. I went back this year, and I want to go again. I want to go with my children, next. I just find it funny that the nudes are so popular on flickr.

You're the one who said they'd make you blush. That implies embarrassment. :P

I had some amazing encounters with birds this month, and they terrify me.

I'm always amazed when I hear people are terrified of birds. I adore them. Even my mom does, who was once attacked by a duck in Puerto Rico as a child.

Thank you for the compliment. I am still awed by our modern sculpture.
