The Brazilian actor Rodrigo Santoro, who recently joined the cast of LOST (currently in its third season), revealed in an interview with the magazine The Rolling Stone, Brasil, that he will be leaving the show at the end of this season. Rodrigo was on the cover of that issue.

Rodrigo said that his character, Paulo, is going to die before the end of the third season. "It's not like I don't give a hoot about the show. It is a wonderful opportunity to be part of it. The truth is that I would have liked to be in LOST a bit longer, but right now, I have movie commitments,” he said in his interview.

 

According to the magazine article, Rodrigo’s last scenes are being filmed this month. "If in the near future, they should have some crazy idea that will allow me to come back, I’ll consider it,” he pondered.

In the United States, the third season will return from its hiatus on February 7, 2007, with 16 uninterrupted episodes. The third season was divided into two stages. The first stage aired from November 8, and Rodrigo was cast in a number of those episodes.

 

The second season of LOST will be aired on Globo on February 5, after the Globo News.

O ator brasileiro Rodrigo Santoro deve sair de "Lost" na terceira temporada da série, a mesma na qual acaba de entrar. Santoro falou sobre rápida passagem pela série norte-americana em entrevista à "Rolling Stone Brasil" de janeiro, cuja capa vem estampada pelo próprio galã.

Rodrigo conta que Paulo, seu personagem em "Lost", deve morrer antes do final da terceira temporada. "Não é que eu tô cagando pra série, é maravilhosa a oportunidade de fazer isso. Na verdade eu gostaria de participar mais de Lost, mas estou mais empenhado em fazer agora projetos no cinema", diz à revista.

Ainda segundo a publicação, suas últimas cenas serão gravadas neste mês. "Se eles tiverem alguma idéia mirabolante que faça com que possa voltar no futuro, há uma chance", pondera o ator.

Nos EUA, o seriado retorna para sua terceira temporada dia 7 de fevereiro, para mais 16 episódios. Esta temporada foi dividida em duas etapas. A primeira etapa, que já contou com a participação de Santoro, foi encerrada no último dia 8.

A 2ª temporada da série norte-americana "Lost" vai ser exibida na Globo a partir do dia 5 de fevereiro de 2007. A atração vai ao ar após o "Jornal da Globo".

I'm still not too sure about how true this is. He gave an interview the other day and didn't sound like he was about to leave the show. I hope he stays.

It might be a foiler. I hope it is. I know he is not liked in the United States. He was not introduced in a fair way, so I think he got a raw deal.

Maybe he is unhappy and is expressing it by wanting to leave, and the powers to be want to keep him. That would be nice twist with the producers of LOST.

I really hope it's a foiler. Poor guy, the way his character was written really didn't get right with the audience. It's be funny if he was the one who wants to leave - poor south american guy - and the big guys - producers - want him to stay!

ok number one....who the hell is paulo? and number two...how is he exactly integral to the show? I don't see this being a huge blow to the other losties when he dies, but that could be me.
