I can't believe that this happened right here in my neck of the woods. This is so sad!

Thanks. I am revamping my icons. And... while revamping, I noticed that I did indeed have a Locke icon. I have it featured here.

And I was up to 142 icons and I decreased it to 134, plus added 22 new icons. I am working hard on nonwork stuff. LOL

This one is my favorite. I wonder why?

Makes me wonder what else is going on, the details behind the story. This doesn't fit the usual tactics of a drug bust. That kind of force is usually used only if the agents have a high-degree of suspicion that their suspects are heavily armed AND dangerous. You can't tell me they didn't know this was the mayor's house. I can't believe they wouldn't have a good idea of what kind of security was employed at his home before they busted into the place. To plow in like that, killing the dogs, destroying property, giving people rough treatment speaks of either overly panicked officers, poorly trained for the job, or something else.

The agents arresting Michael Vick didn't shoot his dogs, I don't think, and those animals were known to be lethally violent. This doesn't wash. This is obviously a quick report on what is prolly a complex case, so it's hard to make heads or tails out of what was going on, but that mayor didn't look like a guy who might have a stash of AKs or 9mms at the ready.

The Prince George's County police should be investigated actually. They have a shoot first policy. A lot of people are harmed before proven guilty in that county.

Yup, they should be. A lot of details in that report don't make sense. I hope the mayor's hired a good lawyer.

But it's so sad about the dogs. And that actually is the part that doesn't make a lot of sense. The cases I know of in which officials have been arrested on drug-related charges, they are usually handled with kid gloves, and it's done so discreetly so that no one gets hurt. Usually the accusation is that the arresting authorities were too soft on them, compared to how they handle such cases elsewhere.
