I wish I could be that intelligent and have these suspicions (on my own, without it being taught to me) about the "healing power of language" and whatnot. XD
That was very interesting! I was wanting him to get more specific about his interest in ghost stories too. And "the healing power of language" ... I'd love to hear more about that! Of course, just listening to him talk is very soothing; in fact, I'm feeling a little drowsy now, and that's unusual for me this "early"! (I would love for him to do a nice, relaxing audiobook I could fall asleep to--after I've given it a serious listen, of course--like a poetry reading. Wouldn't it be great to have Michael read you to sleep?)
I noticed him picking at the arm of the chair too. It was cute. (I'm naturally fidgety myself, so it's nice to see he is too, a little. Because he always seems so incredibly calm otherwise. Plus Edith is probably right; it must just have been too velvety to resist. He does seem like a pretty tactile person.)
Oh, and I love how he kind of dodged the question about the "strangest" piece of fanmail he's received ... because surely every actor has received some weird piece of fanmail they could laugh about, but he was very gracious about it.
He's so sweet, and so intelligent and thoughtful! Thanks for finding this, Edith!
awwww...that is a realy special interview...i think so...because...the questions and his answers were so ...mhm...so nice, good.....a cute interview of him...:-)
First, I have thought that he speaks about me - I from Siberia too.. Alas...((( Other letter has made the greater impression for him and he has remembered his author. No me;(((
Yeah, every woman loves a sharp-dressed man. And of course, I believe him totally on the the power of words. People can't go to war, make love, build houses, plan careers, do anything unless someone writes or says something. It all begins with words. In the biblical account of creation God created the universe with words, not actions. I think that's state that way for a reason.
My other more mundane observations were that that chair stroking was OK, a tad bit distracting but I thought maybe he was like me and had a hard time listening to the interviewer and not be distracted by her mad lips. Sorry, but I couldn't help but notice. I can be as shallow as the next person.
