My childhood best friend is very ill

I am so sad. I just finished talking to my childhood best friend. She is currently in the hospital fighting for her life. She has been battling non-Hodgkin's lymphoma for over 20 years. I am afraid that the disease is taking its toll on her body. They removed fluid from around her heart, she may be having pneumonia, and she will undergo a painful procedure tomorrow. I hope that she regains her strength and is able to fight for her life, as she has been doing these past 20 years.

I am so sorry your friend is so sick.

She seems to be a very brave lady who has dealt with so much in her life. I am sure she will keep on fighting as she has done for these past 20 years.

My thoughts are with you and her. All my best wishes and prayers for her operation tomorrow.

She is a brave lady. She went to medical school, became a psychiatrist, is quite well known in her field, and raised her son all by herself. She just needs to continue fighting.
