What was this episode about?

Is Jin dead? Why is he pretending to be dead? What a scum bag to make his wife suffer so....

I cried. This was an emotional episode.

No, I was not shocked to see Michael. Come on, we all saw it coming.

WTF about Jin? I still can't get  over.

I thought Michael would be the captain. I didn't expect him to be brain-washed, if he is at all.

I... have no idea what's going on with Jin. D:

I just read someone else's speculation that perhaps Jin is in a different place in time. Wow, wouldn't that be something.

Oh I like that a lot!

Huh? o.O

Was Jin's "flashforward" not a "flashback"? That's the big twist. Because he says "I've only been married two months." as in flash back.

I thought that was obvious. But now I feel stupid. He's pretending to be dead...what?!

I think I missed something.

My brain hurt too, until I realized that it seems Jin's stuff was a flashback (to when he was still working for Paik, etc. and had been married to Sun for two months) and Sun's stuff was a flashforward.

Remember, when Jin went to the hospital, there was that whole crowd around the mother and baby... Sun had no one there.

Pretty sure that's what's going on, anyway. :)

I have to agree - Sun was in a flash forward....while Jin was a flash back.

Very, very clever these writers are.

I was soooo sad when Sun brought her baby to 'see' Jin. :(

OK, I agree, Jin was in a flashback. We were given hits:

the cell phone was older model

the year of the dragon: 2001

his haircut

his demeanor

What twisted minds they had.

So, Jin dies after he is rescued. How?

Oh wow! Year of the dragon. Good call - I totally didn't even catch that one! Bravo.

Yes, the year of the dragon was the big hint.

These writers have a mean streak. I love them.

well, his gravestone said 2004, but I'm almost hoping that he's not one of the oceanic six and it's a dummy grave, just somewhere to mourn as he died on the island.

oh, and I love Hurley. So much.

and yeah, that was so sad.

I'm not sure about this because English is not my first language, but I got it like it's a mix of a flashback/flashforward. The way I see it, Jin's part was a flashback, and Sun's part a flashforward, but because I watched it too early in the morning, without coffee and in a language I'm not used to, I could perfectly be wrong.

Yes, we all expected Michael to be on that boat. No surprise there.
