So you thought Ben was evil on “Lost”?

Brace yourself: Michael Emerson, who plays the nefarious leader of the Others, said his character will no longer be the biggest villain on the series, which returns for a fourth season Thursday at 9 p.m. on WCVB (Ch. 5).

“There is the introduction of a host of new and really dangerous characters,” Emerson said. “We have some seriously frightening characters coming in. Ben more and more will become the devil we know.”

With the cast on an information lockdown, Emerson wouldn’t reveal more but did say fans should expect more changes this season.

“What you’ll see in general is scrambling,” he said. “Nobody has a home anymore. Everyone is in a state of disarray and everyone is on foot. And everyone has sort of fractured into camps, fairly desperate camps. That means that new alliances of convenience or strange bedfellows will arise out of this chaos. Ben will have to live by his wits alone in season four, which is a new challenge for him. We’ll see how he manages.”

The Iowa native, who won an Emmy for playing an unhinged client on “The Practice,” joined “Lost” in its second season as the seemingly innocent Henry Gale. It was a part that was supposed to last for a few episodes.

“It’s been a wonderful surprise,” Emerson said about becoming a series regular. “I think the show was in need of personalizing the adversary.”

In the final moments of last season’s finale, viewers learned that they had been watching Jack (Matthew Fox) in a flash-forward and not in one of the show’s trademark flashbacks.

“It instantly catapults our show into a higher plateau of adult seriousness,” Emerson said. “I think it’s always been a good show. But now that we can traffic in future events and see that there are not necessarily happy endings to all these story lines, I think suddenly there’s a sort of bitter or sad note that seems to me to be both true and very adult.”

Many viewers have speculated that Ben is the one who died in that flash-forward.

“I don’t think it’s Ben,” Emerson said. “I don’t think that’s a satisfying enough occupant. I think whoever is in the coffin has to be someone we care more about. Possibly someone who falls from grace between now and the end of the series. I have a feeling at the end of the day it’s someone who is going to make us really sad and it’s going to justify that terrible place Jack seems to be living in.”

Wow!! That is exciting! I am sooooo curious. I hope they will behave like good models and show them selves only from their upper best side!
I tried the pic's on Facebook, but I have to become a member there first. I have so many different accounts on the whole world websites, I am losing track where I am or am not a member from. ^_^
Btw, if you decide to have a peak at my Deviant Art account you will have to work yourself through a lot of Naveen drawings first....Remember, Lizzy's just an amateur and a beginner. (don't want to set up your hopes too high)
