I do hope he gets more lines than just going to the toilet. It's a shame that his character has been so stupid so far. But he should stay on Lost because it give him a lot of exposure to the world and he truly deserves to be sucessful, as he's such a great young actor.

Obrigada por postar a notícia!

I heard from the Official LOST Podcast that the Paulo character will be an important asset in Season 3, part 2. Paulo has connections to the Brazilians who were seen at the end of Season 2.

I just think that they did a lot of disservice by giving him such awful lines in Season 3, part 1. They just should have kept him the the background, let us get acclimated to his presence, and present lines once he was needed in the episodes.

With the way the character was handled, he was doomed before he started. A lot of people would like to see Niki and Paulo die. It's awful.

It is awful. Both Paulo and Niki are viewed as totally unnecessary to the show now, and people want for them to die. I really don't understand what the producers had in mind, if they meant for the new characters to become important later on. Oh well, let's hope they get better lines as soon as February comes.

I think the miniseries kind of ruined Paulo and Nikki's momentum. They should have just exclude them for those 6 episodes. However, Nikki served as a go-between the past actions and the new people who have not watched LOST during the previous season. For example, when Paulo asks where is Eko going and Nikki answers that Eko was going to the airplane where his brother's body was. If you didn't see The 23 Psalm, you wouldn't have known about it. Still it is crummy.

yeah, I understand why they put here there, but, to be honest, at least in my oppinion, Lost didn't need explaining like that.
Oh well, let's hope they manage to 'recover' from this lousy start.
