We have not learned why a woman who seems to have cancer wants to conceive so badly. Chemo is known to harm a fetus. In fact, none of your questions were even touched upon. We just have to watch it in good faith. It is a TV story. It will have flaws, but I still love it. And I think this one really lived up to LOST's reputation.
