Benry needs our votes

Entertainment Weekly's Web site has a feature called "Steel Cage." There you are encouraged to vote for your favorite TV evil character. Benjamin Linus, aka Henry Gale, is against Number Six from Battlestar Galactica and Dipsy from the Teletubbies as "Which evil ringleader does the best job of creeping you out?"

Let's get out and vote for Ben or Benry as some like to call him. (Kate, Sawyer, and Sayid are also on the polls for other infamous reasons.)

Why did you disable comments at [livejournal.com profile] lost_usa?

I always have comments come back to my blog. Thus, if an answer is required, I can go ahead with my answer. Many times when the comments go directly to the communities, I don't see them.

You should tell LJ about that. You're supposed to get comments back from communities the same way you get them from your journal.

I'm using an option that I read that we are alowed to do--that is, we are allowed to disable comments in the community and direct it to our journal:

FAQ Question #198
Can I cross-post an entry in multiple journals or communities?
LiveJournal does not offer an automatic cross-posting feature from its web interface. However, you do have several options for achieving a similar effect.

1. You can compose and post a separate new entry in each of the desired journals or communities.

2. You can post the full entry in one journal or community and then link directly to that entry from the other journals or communities. When using this method, you may want to disable comments on all entries but the original to ensure that all comments are made in the same place.

3. You can use a downloadable client, since some clients allow cross-posting or have features that make it easier, such as the ability to save a draft copy of an entry.
Please note that some communities have strict guidelines regarding cross-posting. Ensure you check the relevant Community Info pages for any rules or guidelines prior to cross-posting. Some may specifically prohibit cross-posting while others may simply just require that you use an lj-cut.

Well, it's allowed, but most communities frown upon it.

This is a question, with no malice intended.(It's difficult to convey certain things via the written word, as the nuances that voice makes is not available.) Out of plain curiosity, I looked you up in the scheme of the community and I didn't see you as the moderator of this community, so why were you questioning the way I formatted my post?

[identity profile] boomstick.livejournal.com 2006-10-23 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Because I can, and because people who disable comments in communities are obnoxious.

OK, now I know where you are coming from.

I love that he's being called "Benry". It's so creative! And it's the funniest combination of the two names. Here are some more not so funny ones:

Hen
HenBen
Henby

It goes on like that.

If I were to have another child and if the child would be a boy, I'd name it Benry. LOL
