I agree with you. They were snippy and sniddy (if there is such a word). I could do so much better myself. I can ask him relevant questions to the man and his art and not make fun of him.
exactly! that woman was so rude to him! it's one thing to comment on the "creepiness" of his characters but quite another to say that HE is scary. *shakes fist at interviewers*
As a non-English-native-speaker I certainly don't get all the nuances of what's going on but even for me the interviewers sound over the top and silly at some times, especially when the keep on saying how scary Michael Emerson sounds or looks :/ If this is humor, I don't get it.
No, it is not humor. They were downright rude. I don't know why his agent sends him to these places. I am sure that they are trying to capitalize on LOST and trying to make him into a bigger name. But honestly. I would love to work for his PR person and give him better advice.
First off, the guy messed his name up. Then at the end of the interview, he doesn't even know what station that LOST airs on. Did he do any research at all? And if you notice, It doesn't seem like Michael found them at all to be humorous (as neither did I).
I wish that someone with some sense would interview him. I swear, I get so sick of these interviews with the same damn questions about LOST all of the time. And then half of the time, the person doing the interview doesn't even know what they hell they are talking about. The only good thing that came out of this interview was getting to see Michael. I just hope that he wasn't too offended when it was over. Poor guy.
I think likely the first time that woman saw Michael in-person for any amount of time was right there on stage, just after watching him do his thing onscreen. It would be tempting indeed to peg him as a sad creepy actor man and leave it at that, if you feel you have other, more "pressing" things demanding your mind's time.
What gets me is that these people do minimum amount of research on the subject that they are presenting. The research may have been done by an assistant to boot. They try to sound like they are big fans. It's awful. Any big fan of the show, even if that person does not care for Ben or the actor, knows the powerful talent that this man has. These people didn't even touch upon it.
Loved his answer about what Lost is about. Too bad they were all too stupid to understand or appreciate Michael's answers.
Puzzled by his comment about the flashforwards being for adults. Sexual content perhaps (she says hopefully)? Or violence? Maybe he means Jack's drug addiction.
Really don't like the hair. I think it makes him look older to have the sides flat like he seems to be wearing it now. Is he trying not to look like Ben?
The interviewer and his show are juvenile. Their goal is to be rude and crude because they think that is humor. But that's the Fox News Network for you. Suppose you can't expect much more from a network like that.
Man those interviewers were really rude. You could see on Michael's face sometimes that he wasn't enjoying their "funny" comments. But he maintained his composure. Gotta love that man.

I hope he doesnt have to go on there ever again poor baby *strokes his forehead to soothe him*
Fans interviewing him is a wonderful idea
Is there any way we could list a load of quesations on MEFB and ask Patrick if he would ask Michael (or is that too invasive of their privacy?)
