Twilight

After watching this trailer, I am convinced that I DO want to see this movie. I want to see it in order to witness that such crap is going to make a lot of money.

[livejournal.com profile] miss_sophia, we must make a date to see this movie. Maybe[livejournal.com profile] shantih  will make it down here to see it with us. What do you say?

Watch the trailer again, and then watch the parody trailer. The juxtaposition is hilarious.

The best parts about the real trailer are (1) it reveals a plot (evil vampire hunting Bella), whereas in the book, that plot comes in about 75% of the way through the book, which means that everything until then was all Bella and Edward angsting over their OMGTRUEBUTFORBIDDENLOVE, and (2) the dudes ripping up the floor in the dance studio as they slide across it.

The worst part about the real trailer is NO SPARKLING! :( Hopefully there will be lots of it in the movie anyway!

Well, [livejournal.com profile] shantih said she was in, so come November, we can go see it! I will be bedecked in sparkles from head to toe, and I will donate the amount that we pay for our tickets to charity to make up for the egregiousness of funding this craptacular enterprise.

I'm with you. We have to buy lots of sparkles. I want to be sparkly myself.

I like your charitable idea.

Damn, I need a sparkly icon.

I'm still in. I think I will dress as a grunge vampire: flannel shirt and jeans a la Nirvana, but with body glitter, because the vampires must *sparkle*!

Oh, we will be a great sight to see, I am sure.

Egad, this is why they're delaying Harry Potter? If the craptastic acting alone is anything to go by, this should make a real thud at the box office. (Just look at the success of Moonlight ... and the similarity in titles.) The story looks like yet another inferior rip-off of Dark Shadows, Interview With the Vampire, Forever Knight, Underworld, et al.

I am not sure that this is what delayed HP.

You're anti-twilight! yey!

I could not believe how many people were raving about the freaking book. the misogyny, my god the misogyny! what the hell is wrong with people today?

I agree with you. What direction are we going? Why are we going backwards?

The trailer doesn't even tell you anything about the movie! I also really don't like that director.

No, if they did, the audience wouldn't come.

One of my friends forced me to buy and read the whole saga. Luckily my money wasn't wasted because my mum really enjoys the books.

OMG, I have not (yet) read them. But from what I hear, I really don't want to reat them.
