The brother of A Prairie Home Companion host Garrison Keillor has died after an ice skating accident.
John Philip "Phil" Keillor, 71, died Friday in Madison, Wis. after suffering severe injuries in a fall while ice skating, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
Phil Keillor was born on May 27, 1937, in Anoka, Minnesota, the oldest of the family's six children.
Phil Keillor worked as a coastal engineer for the UW Sea Grant Program in Madison, Wis. for more than 29 years before retiring in 2003. He continued to work as a consultant in the field up until his death and was particularly interested in climate change issues.
