By the way, my children always knew the truth, but were told never to reveal the truth to the other children. I think that they kept the secret for a long time. We shall find out if miss_sophia answers this entry.
Oh, I'm pretty sure I was the asshole kid who ruined a few Christmases. At the very least, I'm pretty sure I told Andy and Holly that Santa didn't exist. I wasn't out to ruin their holidays, of course -- I was just a know-it-all kid who didn't know how to be discreet. So when the other kids talked about Santa and asked me questions about what I wanted from him or whatever, I told them the truth!
Mom, however, managed to scrape up enough money to buy me a jewelry box. I was now mature enough to understand that the cheap jewelry box was worth a million.

I had not heard this story -- how cool! It's especially good to hear it to refresh my mind about CG, given her present-day craziness and "Jaj szegény-kem!" Have I seen this jewelry box before?
