Date: 2008-09-24 08:44 pm (UTC)Yes, Basil has a huge sore on his neck. We don't know how he got it. He is getting better, and we will know more on Friday, when he goes back for his checkup.
BTW#, what kind of dog do you have.

Date: 2008-09-24 09:15 pm (UTC)OMG, no wonder you are amazed at how I can handle so many dogs. Most border collies are nuts. LOL. They have high energy, that's for sure. (I live with basset hounds. They are couch potatoes.)
Did you ever read any books by Jon Katz? He adopted a totally nutty border collie, became enthralled with the breed, and now has a farm devoted to raising them and giving them the life that these creatures need. I totally recommend reading his books. Start with A Dog Year: Twelve Months, Four Dogs, and Me. Here's his Web site:

I just admire and love that man.

Date: 2008-09-24 09:51 pm (UTC)I've not read them but I'll certainly put it on my to-do list. It's a pretty long list right now though so sadly the only dogs I'll be able to read about in the next month belonged to Pavlov *sigh*.
