I don't know how you've coped thus far with all these dogs. I struggle with one. You're like Superwoman or something...

How's um...Basil was it? I think you said something about him hurting himself the other day...Or did I imagine that...

I've had as many as 11 dogs in my household. I have no problems whatsoever. They play and fight together, but most of the time, they get along with each other. I now have 2 or somtimes 3 living in my house. The third one is my daughter's and she comes to live with us every other week. That way, she continues to socialize with other dogs.

Yes, Basil has a huge sore on his neck. We don't know how he got it. He is getting better, and we will know more on Friday, when he goes back for his checkup.

BTW#, what kind of dog do you have.

Jolly good. Poor old Basil.

I have a Border Collie. He's off his flipping rocker. I'm convinced he has a serious case of OCD.

OOh, he is cute.

OMG, no wonder you are amazed at how I can handle so many dogs. Most border collies are nuts. LOL. They have high energy, that's for sure. (I live with basset hounds. They are couch potatoes.)

Did you ever read any books by Jon Katz? He adopted a totally nutty border collie, became enthralled with the breed, and now has a farm devoted to raising them and giving them the life that these creatures need. I totally recommend reading his books. Start with A Dog Year: Twelve Months, Four Dogs, and Me. Here's his Web site:

I just admire and love that man.

I wonder if I can get an exchange for a basset then...Hehe no not really. He's a psychotic handful but I still love him.

I've not read them but I'll certainly put it on my to-do list. It's a pretty long list right now though so sadly the only dogs I'll be able to read about in the next month belonged to Pavlov *sigh*.
